But what type of ready to assemble cabinet is right for you? Read on to learn more about what we at RTA Direct have to offer, so that you can make an informed choice.

RTA Shaker Cabinets

One particularly popular cabinet design is the Shaker style. This is because this style is both simple and aesthetically pleasing, which is perfect for any kitchen, bathroom, or laundry room. You can accommodate a clean, minimalist look - or whatever look you like - with RTA Shaker cabinets.

Shaker cabinets were born in the 1780’s, and they got their name from a religious group known as the Shakers, or officially the United Society of Believers in Christ’s Second Appearing. The Shakers were a group who broke away from the Quakers in Manchester, England, before moving to America.

In America, the Shaker community became known for their handcrafted, high-quality furniture, including the Shaker cabinets. This furniture was simple in design, but durable and made with incredibly high standards and pride.

As the decades have moved on, the basics of this simple design didn’t change a huge deal, but innovators added some adaptations. The cabinets were painted in different colors and even made using different materials, such as MDF, so that they’re more affordable. However, the timeless design still remains.

Here at RTA Direct, you can find the shaker style of cabinet in a variety of colors. These include dark cinder, white, antique white, dove, or grey. Each of these cabinet colors can work brilliantly with your chosen design, potentially creating a clean and modern look with plenty of class. You can also integrate this versatile style with a more traditional look - after all, it has a traditional background.

RTA Charleston Cabinets

The Charleston cabinet line has a wonderfully detailed traditional design. Like all of our ready to assemble designs, it features hidden European style hinges with a gentle soft close feature. You’ll also receive hardwood doors, drawers, and faceframes, as well as the rest of the cabinet. The whole thing can be simply assembled at home.

This cabinet line was designed to be the ideal blend of classic design and modern practicality. It’s name comes from the famous cabinetwork found in Charleston. Charleston enjoys a long history of cabinetmaking, and the popular styles created by the artisan settlers evolved with the fashions of the time.

While the cabinet industry in Charleston eventually declined in favor of cheaper and more fashionable designs found in the North, it was once an important part of American industry. The modern Charleston design was inspired by this traditional industry, and even though it’s a relatively modern line, it evokes a more traditional time.

At RTA Direct, we offer two choices of color. You can choose the rich Charleston Saddle design, which evokes dark stained wood. Or, for a lighter kitchen, you can go with the Charleston Antique White color, which has the same traditional feel, but with a slightly off-white finish.

The obvious choice for this style of cabinet would be to integrate it into a traditional kitchen. However, you can use it for more modern or blended interior decorating as well. The more complex doors and face frames can be paired very well with classic, minimalistic patterns for an effortlessly stylish and timeless effect.

RTA Tahoe Cabinets

When designing your kitchen or bathroom, you sometimes want a cabinet that sits comfortably between a simplistic modern design and a hint of character. Tahoe Cabinets can provide exactly what you need.

The stunning Tahoe White cabinets on offer at RTA Direct combine classic sensibilities with a timeless design that evokes a more traditional design. The Tahoe cabinet design is gentle, even integrating curves and attractive little details that don’t overwhelm the rest of the room, but that simply add to a pleasant environment.

The clean white color goes with pretty much everything, so you have plenty of flexibility to work with. Tahoe cabinets are all about balance. It isn’t so simple so as to be stark, but it isn’t distractingly overdesigned either. It’s just right for all kinds of rooms.

Flat-Front Cabinets

These cabinets are all about minimalism. They’re sometimes known as slab doors, and don’t feature any panels or framing. These cabinets are incredibly simple, which generally means that they’re less expensive. The lack of detail also makes them easy to clean, since you don’t need to think about dust gathering in the detailing of the cabinet door.

This kind of cabinet is perfect for modern or contemporary designs. You can find them in all kinds of colors, from plain white to bright primary colors that can add plenty of personality. You can create a clean, almost futuristic look, or a style that’s bright and colorful with this simple type of RTA cabinet.

Beadboard Cabinets

Beadboard, or tongue-and-groove cabinets have a unique design where vertical slats are fitted into each other. This creates a detailed and textured look, which is perfect for relaxed or cottage-inspired room styles.

You can also find RTA beadboard cabinets that feature this detailing on the interior, which adds some character to otherwise unnoticed or neglected parts of the room. This kind of cabinet doesn’t help with a minimal look, because of all of the level of detail presented when the slats are laid beside each other.

The tongue-and-groove construction is most famously used in flooring and has been since the late 19th century, but the method can be used for walls and cabinets as well. While traditional beadboard always used wood, it has been adapted to use cheaper materials so that it’s more readily available.

No matter which style you choose, you’re sure to love the ready to assemble cabinets you choose. We have a variety of options to consider, and are always ready to help if you need more information!
